Salgatech is a company specialized in the production and installation of multifunctional cold rooms and ice machines. The company has launched ‘Grenier Frais’, a new concept of cold rooms thanks to its partnership with Sinergi Burkina, I&P and the European Union.
Grenier Frais is a multifunctional cold room system that was designed under patent 17824-OAPI to address the lack of equipment for the conservation of fresh produce (fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, milk, by-products, etc.) in Burkina Faso.
“This model consists in facilitating access to equipment for the various actors in the agroforestry and agri-food sector, i.e. producers, retailers, processors, importers and exporters. As the Grenier Frais is an essential piece of equipment for the proper conservation of fresh produce, facilitating access to it will allow them to minimize product losses, preserve product quality and maximize the profile”, confirmed Silvère Salga, founder of Salgatech, during the inaugural session.
Salgatech has benefited from I&P Acceleration in Sahel program, which aims to support start-ups in Sahel sub-region. Initiated by the impact group Investisseurs et Partenaires and financed by the European Union, the program is implemented in Burkina Faso by Sinergi Burkina.
